Has anyone noticed how Jack Layton and Lenin look alike?

i probably wouldn't have noticed that if you hadn't pointed it out. I think it's just because they have the same receding hairline and moustache combo. In some pic's Lenin had a goatee as well, but in the ones that he didn't-the similarities are striking! Do you think this is the look Jack was going for?
