What are some things to clean around the house?

Okay so prom is coming up, and my stepmom won't let me get a dress (she wants me to wear one i wore to a semi-formal, ugh NOT prom-ish AT ALL!) and she said in order to get one i have to do things around the house (except chores and etc) so, what are some things i could clean around the house, that you wouldnt think to clean? but will make a difference? please help!
