Politically speaking, are we living in ancient times?

2000 years from now, humans will look back on our times as ancient history, just as we look back on the Roman period. So this IS NOT modern times, the future is. Will humans in the future look back and judge us harshly because of our greed, stubborness, and inequality? Will they veiw us as barbarians because we allow homelessness, poverty, and dispair amongst our own people?
