XBOX GTA San Andreas Mission 102 Los Desperados help!?

so this is the mission right after the riot starts, and I'm having trouble "recruiting a couple of Grove street Families gang members." Am I supposed to recruit one of my gang members (wearing green), or a pedestrian? And what on do I press to recruit them? I am very close to beating the game I think, so any help would be appreciated!
